Salt water spray on alternator

I had a leak in my raw water hose from the pump to heat exchanger. I ran the engine for several hours before noticing it. Although the leak was at the bottom of the engine where the hose connects to the pump, I am afraid there was salt water spray over the engine as well as the alternator.

Engine: Yanmar 2GM20F
Alternator: Balmar 6 series, 120A, serpentine belt kit, new 2019.

I've replaced the hose and everything works fine and the alt charges fine, but I'm worried about long term corrosion of the alternator and other engine parts.

I'm looking for suggestions on options:
a) do nothing
b)spray down the engine/alt with fresh water and allow to dry thoroughly before starting.
c)spray down the engine with fresh water and disassemble the alternator for a thorough cleaning/inspection.

My inclination is b) but I don't want to make things worse. How sensitive is an alternator to water inside?
