Shunt for Xantrex pro battery monitor

Greetings,

I purchased the battery monitor in "like new" condition. Next purchase
is a shunt. I have no experience with these components, so this is an
on-the-job process as I prepare for installation.

What type or size shunt is needed for the Xantrex?

Aside from the monitor, shunt, wiring (and fuses) is
there anything else needed?


I am reviewing CF, along with the installation specs for the Zantrex,
for info that will help with the installation. I have 2 batteries and basic
1-2-both-off battery switch. I will also be installing an inverter.

The xantrax battery monitor comes with a shunt. So it is not “like new” if parts are missing. I would go after the seller for it.


Any 500a - 50mv shunt would work.

If it's the Link 20 it already has provision for two battery banks built in. The shunt goes into the common earth on a negative earth system and there is a connection to each of the positive terminals of each bank of batteries. Other than some cables and some terminals you have everything you need on your list.
