Solar Controller

If you have bought, installed or have a solar installation on your vessel, I would like to know about the type of solar controller you are using. Please take the simple poll and feel free to elaborate with a post as well. If you have more than one installation type you can select more than one answer.

Re: Solar Controller

One 65 watt Panel and one 20 watt panel connect to a 75/15 Victron Controller.

One 20 watt and one 50 watt connected to a PWM 20 amp controller.

50 watt panel disconnected and 20 watt panels stowed when at the marina.

The above to charge two group 27 batteries in parallel.

Re: Solar Controller

My setup so far is just a 100 watt slim mono panel, run through a Victron 75|15 Smart Controller, charging a pair of GC2 batteries. I hope to add a 2nd panel and another pair of batteries this year.

Re: Solar Controller

2 320W panels paralleled into 1 wire to the a Outback FlexMax 50 controller. I chose the controller (was more expensive than the panels) because you can truly adjust and set everything and it will do an equalization.
