Solar Installer, Vero Beach

Thinking of finally installing solar on my B393. Would appreciate recommendations, FL east coast. Preferably Vero Beach.

Re: Solar Installer, Vero Beach

Rick, I will be very interested in what panels you go with, I am looking for panels as I write, our boats are similar in size and equipment so let me know what wattage and voltage you go for.

You have an arch so it should be a breeze.

In particular I will be interested in what voltage and wattage you go with, some say stick with 12 volt nominal (17 to 18 volt) panels others suggest higher voltage with a MPPT controler. I understand the lower voltage works better with any shading.

Isn't it true that you could go with a 24 volt setup, then step it down to 12volt and double the amps?
