Sunpower 50w flexible panel wiring

Installing two Sunpower 50w panels on my bimini and was wondering what others are doing for wiring, series or parallel. Sunpowers manual states that damage to the bypass diode in the junction box may occur when in parallel by shading. Will wire with a Epever MPPT and really don't want to wire in series. Have 2 rigid panels in parallel on another system that work fine. These new panels will be aft of the end of boom so hoping shading isn't severe.j

Re: Sunpower 50w flexible panel wiring

I wired two 100 w panels in series based on the instructions. OK for last three years on my dodger. I have talked recently to suppliers of the panel who say this is really not an issue and that parallel is OK, but haven't yet tried it myself. I am going to add two more panels and would like to get the definitive answer as well. Parallel is supposedly more efficient.
