Testing my DC ground

Hi there,

On my new (to me) boat, I haven't found any electrical connections between my DC negative and an underwater metal (my shaft has a plastic drivesaver, so no path from the engine block to earth), and my bonding circuit is not connected to DC neg (something I intend to fix), but I'm wondering if there could be another connection creating such a path, but more importantly: is there anything I could measure to ensure it is working as expected?

Sure. Connect a long wire to your battery negative and the negative lead on your ohm meter. With the positive lead, start checking everything underwater for a bond. Also check the engine block. You may need a brush of this sort to bond your prop and drive shaft:
