Re: Trojan short T105 terminals

What about those of us using the Blue Seas marine rated battery fuses?
The post on which the lugs are fitted to is completly insulated from the battery, and the connection between lug and battery relies only on contact between lug, fuse, and fuse holder.
If we have corrosion on the lugs are our boats going to sink?
Should we consider Blue Seas as being irresponsible for selling such items?

Yes, I recommend and use these all the time.

The current flow paths between the battery and MRBF fuse holder will be the same as discussed, as it is clamped to the conductive battery terminal post with a nut.

The current flow paths between the top of the MRBF fuse and cable lug will be the same as discussed, as the lug is clamped between the conductive fuse holder post and the nut.

The fuse is insulated from the cable mounting stud, so that all current must pass through the fuse, and if that exceeds its rating, it will open, to provide the over-current protection it is designed to.
