That was actually the only Nobel prize that Einstein was ever awarded.

This is proof of concept.
The first solar cells were invented in the 1800's. The first silicon solar cells were created in the 1950's. It took more than a hundred years for solar cells to drop below $10 per watt.

Just because it can be created in a lab doesn't mean it can be mass produced or is affordable.

This power source runs off of the moisture in the air which we have plenty of on boats. Using seesaw, it’s also really not bad for the environment at all.

We should check up on this in 30-40yr which is the time it takes for most nascent technologies to mature.

He should have received at least one more for relativity.

At the speed things are developed these days we might see practical applications very quickly.

Sodium, and chlorine are on opposite sides of the periodic table.

So getting a couple volts is doable, the next thing is significant current .

Let's say they create a method to continuously feed salt, you would need fresh water for the liquid.

Ocean water isn't going to absorb salt.

It remains to be seen if a salt water battery makes more power than an air battery which operates under a similar principle with aluminum, and oxygen.

Yes, I don't know why there are so many constant doom prophets. Why not embrace new designs and explore the hell out of it, until it reaches success, or its logical end. Then move onto the next invention.

Some people thrive at doomsaying and pushes projects down only for the benefit to say their 'doomsay' was correct.

That’s funny. I don’t remember saying that it could be created in mass production and in an affordable way. Can you quote where I said that?

I could see this powering an emergency led light.

The flashlight comes with a jar full of electrodes, and salt, just add water.
