Victron BMV602S 'NOCALB'

Hi there, this is my first post on this forum.
I have a Victron BMV602S battery monitor, which was professionally installed and has worked well for 5+ years. Over the summer my batteries failed. I've now replaced them and all seems OK apart from the battery monitor.
It just displays 'NOCALB' all of the time. The blue display light is also permanently on.
I can't find anything in the manual supplied by Victron to describe this, nor does a Google search throw up any matches.
I've tried powering off and on again, pressing all 4 buttons, in turn, and in combination and for varying lengths of time but nothing seems to shift this display.
Any ideas would be very welcome.

I don't see that display in the manual of that model or later ones but it looks like 'nocalibration'
Have you set it to the battery size/type/etc yet? It may have lost programming while disconnected. I'd start there. you could also call Victron in Maine; they should easily be able to help

Re: Victron B602S 'NOCALB'

Hi Scott,
Thanks for your reply. I guessed that is what it probably meant as well.
Problem is none of the 4 control buttons shifts from the NOCALB display.
As the unit was professionally installed I kind of guessed there may be an initial calibration procedure that is not documented in my user manual.
I tried to find such a manual online but came up with nada.
I only have contacts for Victron in Europe. If you have a contact number for Maine then that would be excellent.
Thanks again
Geoff

Try pressing "setup" and "select" for three seconds to restore the unit to factory settings. You can then program it.

The 702 is not all that different from the 602 and I suspect the setup procedure is perhaps the same.

Thanks Suijin,
I've already tried that combination but with no success. In fact I've tried all button combinations for up to 20 seconds. Just to be sure I tried your suggestion one more time.
Scott has sent me Victron's US number so I'll call them tomorrow (thanks Scott). Can't help feeling they'll just tell me it's Kaput.
