Victron BatteryProtect with Inverters

The spec sheet says that the BatteryProtect shouldn't switch power to inverters and that doing so would causes capacitors within inverters to trip the short circuit protection of the BP. Is this applicable to all inverters? or only those of larger sizes? The wiring diagram shows the remote on/off switch of an inverter wired to the load side of the BP. My 400W inverter doesn't have a remote on/off, so I'm guessing that its just not possible to use in coordination with a BP-100?
