Victron Monitor Replace/Repair?

My Victron BMV-712 (Bluetooth, all the bells and whistles) just quit on me, I believe due to some corrosion on the shunt. Anyone have any recommendations for a cheaper replacement or is it worth replacing the shunt?
Honestly, I haven't been very impressed with this monitor so if I down grade, will I be super disappointed? Or just mildly?
Thanks, y'all!

Depends... Why have you been unhappy with the Victron unit?

Re: Victron Monitor Replace/Repair?

I don't think it's been entirely accurate. It "acts up" sometimes, displaying super low SOC then full within minutes. When running the inboard (I have a DC-DC) all parameters read zero except SOC which, again, jumps to 100 within minutes. It's been "untrustworthy" since I've had it.

if it jumps to 100% full the charged voltage and tail current is set wrong. common issue with solar because of low charge current vrs battery size. if your outboard charging is small it'll be the same issue.

Well, I'll be...Thanks, I'll look into that! It's been over a year since I upgraded the solar and the monitor was working slightly better after. I just don't recall at this time what I had set those parameters to. It'll come to me at three am...
