WATERPROOF SOLAR CONNECTORS

I have 2 solar panels not permanently mounted and only used at anchor. What waterproof plugs would be best to connect them to my Victron MPPT controller/charger? TIA,
Dave

Re: WATERPROOF SOLAR CONNECTORS

Why not use the standard solar panel connectors, MC4 I think they are called?
I’d want some silicone grease on them myself especially if they were often plugged and unplugged, but they seem to work, are readily available and cheap and are the Solar standard I believe

Re: WATERPROOF SOLAR CONNECTORS

MC4 are not designed for frequent dis/connect cycling.

Trolling motor plug&socket are good if you want permanent fixtures.

There are booties for Anderson, perfectly waterproof is not needed.

Or Deutsch (TE / Amphenol) makes good stuff, better than automotive weatherpak

Thanks for the replies! I think I will look at the trolling motor plugs.
