Westerbeke 7.6 BTD dead at the panel

The underlying problem with the generator is that it runs for a while and stops.

I read that if I hold the preheat button down when it is about to stop, it will bypass the 3 shutoff switches.

I was playing with that, and then when I went to try to restart, the panel was dead.

In the electrical box on the generator, I checked 2 fuses and the shutoff switch. And the 8amp fuse near by. All seem fine. I got the troubleshooting guide from another thread on this subject.

Basically, when I hit pre-heat, I am not getting 12v to the pre-heat solenoid S terminal.

I do have 12v to the switched side of the pre-heat solenoid.

What to try? Should I try just jumping the pre-heat solenoid to see if I can restart it?
