If the remote panel control switch is to be removed, then a bypass wire / connector must be positioned instead to enable the local control, per the instructions in the Westerbeke manual.

How could I be so dumb. Ill give myself some slack because I didnt read the part in the manual where you have to have the panel switch set to run.......THEN the generator switches will act accordingly. But yea, I spent many, many hours going over sensors, wiring, new switch at the generator panel but no bueno. I didnt think that the remote panel switch had to be in the RUN position for the generator switches to work properly. A quick google search led me to this thread and this post.

So thank you Wingless, Ive had a properly running generator all along.

Edit: The manual does not mention setting the remote panel properly (just checked). But I did know that you have to use a jumper at the generator if the remote panel is not hooked up. That should have been my clue.

No need to be hard on yourself, Captainbaker. First off, you're a human being, which means that you screw up with alarming regularity, and second, we've all publicly demonstrated that talent, most of us repeatedly. Welcome to the CF.
