Wiring the anchor light?

Agree with BruceS, use a fused jumper wire. Fuse size to match wire size(fuse protects the wire not the appliance or light. Try all combinations,(good idea to keep track) if nothing lights up then go up the mast to check bulbs and connections.

Don't sweat the anchor light wiring. Go to hardware store and pick up one of those little yard lights that is powered by a small solar panel on the top.
Mount it to your stern. Should work just fine and last a year or so. Many folks up here have them including me. When it quits then toss that one and get another. That should give you plenty of anchor light for $10-$15.

Update:

Was finally able to climb up the mast this past weekend to check things out. Found out that the current anchor light is wired using the black & white wires and was able to get it working (though it's very dim and will be replaced). Still unsure as to what the yellow and green wires are for, but I'm not too concerned with it.
