yanmar 4jh3e alternator wiring diagram

Anyone have a diagram for the correct wiring of the alternator on a yanmar 4jh3e?

which wire goes to what? Picture would be wonderful as well !

Tried to read the manual but is a bit confusing.

What type of alt? Externally regulated?

believe it to be the original 55amp, internal regulated, came with the engine from the factory. no details on the alternator but looks original.

Was it just not hooked up? I am search for pictures of mine before I upgraded......

The alternator might be 55amp or 80 amp and there are a couple of different panels but here's the info for the most common setup

Looks like this on the front, like yours on the back.

Answers to previous questions are, this is a rescue boat, was not 'treated well' by previous owner so I am restoring to original glory. or close at least.

Alternator was not hooked up so need to figure wiring out, test it. might have to replace but at least I will know correct placement of wires.

It will Likly have a b+ wire that goes to the engine start post.

An ignition wire and a lamp wire in a 2 wire connector going to dash.

Can’t recall which color is which. Probably in above dia.

Both go +12v with key on. So tricky to figure out which is which.
