Re: OCEANPLANET ENERGY GIVEAWAY - Ends 8/26

I'm looking at purchasing a cruising sailboat in the next year and converting it to electric drive. The Group L15+ Firefly looks like a perfect solution to my battery needs.

Re: OCEANPLANET ENERGY GIVEAWAY - Ends 8/26

Hi,
Thanks for sponsoring the giveaway.
I plan to repower my battery bank this fall. The Firefly batteries are my current choice since if I go with LIfpo I'll have to change alternators, charging and regulating.
The long-life, deep discharge capability, and safety of these units make this choice a no brainer.

I'D REALLY LIKE THE SIMARINE MONITORING SYSTEM. We're offshore some parts of the year and between alternator, generator, and solar, it would be great to keep closer tabs on it all.

Re: OCEANPLANET ENERGY GIVEAWAY - Ends 8/26

I have 4 of the Fireflys and the Wakespeed WS100 so now all I need is 4 of the SP144 panels to light up my life.

Would love a Torqeedo 503 or 1003 to replace the trolling motor on my little trimaran. I already have solbian solar panels to recharge it (bought from Bruce, who is a great source of info!!!)

Re: OCEANPLANET ENERGY GIVEAWAY - Ends 8/26

I like these:

https://oceanplanetenergy.com/solar-...ian-flex-high/

The reason I want them is that I own a pair of giant 14 passenger bicycles and take customers on beer and food tours in Oakland. While the power is provided by my customers pedaling, I do have batteries to run the lights and stereo. If I had these solar panels, I could be 100% green, since I could charge the batteries for the radio and headlights from solar!

Here is a link to where I would use them: www.oaklandpedaltours.com

I'd love to have some Fireflies and will probably replace my FLA house bank with them next time around (or maybe sooner if I win!) - seems like there is less and less reason NOT to.

The noted prizes are interesting. I could not find the USB Flyer charger but the L15 batteries https://oceanplanetenergy.com/advanc...asis-group-31/ are great.

We installed 6 X 4 volt 450 AH for our 28 volt boat. This was a real game changer and liberating addition.

Some Solbian flexible solar panels would add some welcome power generation to our daily energy budget!

Currently have a PWM controller, would love a good MPPT controller to get the most out of my panels.

Re: OCEANPLANET ENERGY GIVEAWAY - Ends 8/26

The last thing I want on my boat is a monstrosity of stainless steel mounted to the stern and holding too much equipment and the kitchen sink. Looking like the Joad family going down the sea. Yet I need to replace energy consumed to live and I believe that Ocean Planet has that in the Watt&Sea Pod.
