These products would greatly improve any safety issues relating to anchoring / land lines - in any condition - and would be a great to have aboard as we plan our circumnavigation. Not only are the products well designed, but are beautifully crafted to boot.

Just want the anchor - not greedy. I hope (finally) to retire this coming spring and go cruising. I now have 35-lb CQR which has been good to me, but I could certainly stand an upgrade for distant shores, deeper waters and a wide range of holding grounds. Please don't let me drag ashore! Thanks!

With a new to us 40 year old Hatteras 54', having good equipment is crucial. Refitting the ground tackle is one of our more expensive projects, so a new swivel and anchor would be wonderful in preparing for our cruising life.

We recently had a tragic loss of our primary anchor, and are in the market for a new one (and a shackle that won't fail on us this time). We've eyed Ultra anchors for a long time and LOVE one, and some accessories of course:

Could really use the peace of mind while continuing our circumnavigation.

Re: ULTRA MARINE WEST GIVEAWAY - Ends Oct 5th

My '70s boat has '70s era anchor and ground tackle and it's time for an update. Have to start with an anchor, https://www.ultramarinewest.com/products/ultra-anchor and work my way up:

Re: ULTRA MARINE WEST GIVEAWAY - Ends Oct 5th

Having a boat with a bowsprit and platform limits my choices for new generation anchors. The Ultra anchor would be the best for me as it will fit without much (if any) modification.

https://www.ultramarinewest.com/prod...g%20/%20132Ibs
The Ultra swivel would just be icing on the cake as getting my anchor turned around to clear the bobstay is also a problem.

https://www.ultramarinewest.com/prod...sinking%20line
Stowing and retrieving my stern anchor line has always been a hassle. The flatline reel is good looking way to solve that problem.

https://www.ultramarinewest.com/prod...2060%2C%2010mm
I have heard that those that have stainless steel chain do not have as much trouble with their chain piling up in their anchor lockers. My boat carries 400 feet of 10mm chain and it cannot be dropped into the locker without someone constantly pushing the pile over and evening out the lay of the chain. Stainless has always been beyond my reach but would love to give it a try.

https://www.ultramarinewest.com/prod...3/8%22%20chain
The chain grab would complete my anchoring system.

Having this trip hook on board would seem like a very useful tool should this problem ever arise. Tools are always best to have before you need them!

Aaaaagh! I can’t copy any specific products, only the general pages for each. I’m not get the long hyperlinks that everyone else is posting. Oh well…..In for a boat dime, in for a boat dollar. This is some sweet looking gear.

Re: ULTRA MARINE WEST GIVEAWAY - Ends Oct 5th

I have been on a 3 week cruise with friends on a 49ft mono hull which had the 33kg Ultra anchor and have seen it in action. So impressed, set first time every time and did not budge. Best part is that it is shinny and you can easily see it on the bottom (before setting). Additionally, sand/mud are easily rinsed off the polished surface of the anchor. I want one for my boat!

i am in the middle of a refit, so this would work perfectly. I have admired the flat reels for years.

Re: ULTRA MARINE WEST GIVEAWAY - Ends Oct 5th

Our galvanized anchor needs to be replaced badly, it's to light and has problems digging in. This year we almost got in big trouble while anchoring on the coast near Veurne in Belgium while being exposed to strong currents (English Channel) and 30kn gusting winds. With this we need a new heavy duty swivel which is at the moment some kind of China product and a chain grab.
