Propane Outboards by LEHR

Hi Guys,
I just want to let you know that LEHR has a great Summer Special running through the end of September.

This is the best deal I've ever seen them offer. If you're thinking about buying one, now is the time.

Of course I'd like to be the one to sell it to you! Send me an email with your zip code for a quote. hopcarmarine@yahoo.com

Re: Propane Outboards by LEHR

I did not have the best of luck with my Lehr. We used it about 10 hours total then washed it out and put it away while we trucked the boat to Mexico. When I fired up the almost-new outboard in Mexico, I discovered a propane leak under the cowling. It looked like a maze of steel hoses and all inter-connected. No way to try to tighten a fitting. Of course, the warrantee will not cover an outboard in Mexico. After a month, I found a Mexican outboard mechanic who figured it out and fixed the engine - voiding any possible warrantee that the engine might have had. He says it is fixed. I have not tried to use it.

In the meantime, I bought a new gasoline outboard for the dingy. The Lehr sits in storage. I will bring it home and sell it next season.

Did you realize you were responding to a 3-1/2yr old post?
