Heads up Florida

The weather in Florida looks to be very sloppy for awhile, along with a slight chance of some tropical development. I find these early-season storms sometimes catch people by surprise. Make sure your cockpit drains are clear with this one! Lots of rain.

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

A trough of low pressure over the eastern Gulf of Mexico is
producing a large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms.
This system is expected to move northeastward across Florida during

unfavorable, although some slow development is possible when the

development, heavy rainfall is expected across portions of Florida
during the next few days. For more information, see products issued
by the Weather Prediction Center and local National Weather Service
Forecast Offices.

Re: Heads up Florida

Seems like they are calling for a lot of rain, not sure that wind speed will be a factor, but you never know as these things can spool up for no reason.

Summer in Florida. I assure you everyone here is familiar with the weather. What some don’t do is prepare for it and no amount of internet discussion can change that.

Regardless, Summer is golf season here, not boating season.
