You may want to look at the character set of the imported data vs displayed for us on the right side of the country.

Montreal has an é é é é Lowercase e-acute
The accented e shows as A@ (or similar) in the Forecast titles. You know what I mean...

I get an error loading the radar file for Montreal, QC.
The web page is https://weather.gc.ca/radar/index_e.html?id=CASBV

Hi Earl, thanks for your comments:
It should be a simple fix to handle accented characters.
There does appear to be a typo in the Montreal weather radar URL address.

On the list for a springtime update are:

1. Get Canadian buoy data direct from EC web-page
2. Fix character set for accented french and spanish characters
3. URL typo for Montreal radar.
4. Continue improving parsing of BC lighthouse reports (these are human generated, not by robot, so sometimes have typos or formatting irregularities which mess up my parsing).

Any other comments ... keep 'em coming.

Canadian buoy data now sourced directly from Canadian source, and not indirectly through NOAA website.

Did you fix the Montreal weather URL? I still have a "Error Loading File"

The Help, About, About MarineWX doesn't list the version or update date.
I was expecting Google Play to allow me to update it, but I only saw Uninstall or Open. Should there be an Google Play 'Update' option?

I did fix it ... but it seems to have unfixed itself in the process of fixing something else ...


Unfortunately the Help and About are on-line files, so if they have a version number it will only be the version on the help file ... you have to go to the App list on android and find the version number there ... this update is v1.1



sigh ... I guess there will be another update this week ... that will be v1.2
