2022 Sea Level Rise Technical Report
Updated projections available through 2150 for all U.S. coastal waters.

The implications of that forecast are enormous.

Sea level will rise as much in the next 30 years as it did in the past 100 -- increasing the frequency of high-tide flooding, pushing storm surge to the extreme and inundating vulnerable coastal infrastructure with saltwater.

. . .

if global warming can be held to around 2 degrees above pre-industrial levels, NOAA estimates sea level rise in the US could be limited to 2 feet by the end of the century.
If temperatures are allowed to skyrocket, that forecast increases to 7 feet.

Great news for those of us with deep drafts! Anyway I can speed it up? Just think of the new anchorage opportunities =)

That was in response to a claim that planet die at 200 ppm CO2

Agree 200ppm is extremely low but the officially recognized is actually 150ppm minimum to support life .

Ocean, People, Planet

There is only one ocean, essential to the life of everyone on Earth - and it faces perils like never before.

In this new series, we focus on the connection between the health of the ocean and the health of the planet - and what that means for the well-being of all of us.

We’ll examine the state of the ocean, detail the threats, and offer potential solutions based on data, science, and traditional ways of knowing that are collaborative and achievable.

Well then I say it's not an issue at all .

Look at the Obama's New house .to be built
At. 41-505 Kalanianaole Highway.

21°19'29.66"N | Long: 157°40'47.68"W

President Barack Obama’s Hawaii Beach House Being Built on Idyllic Site of ‘Magnum, P.I.’ Mansion

Notably, a decades-old seawall on the property is to be preserved. The issue has angered environmentalists active in Hawaii’s ecology, as the beach erosion caused by seawalls can be considerable and difficult or impossible to reverse

Last night's TV news say the overnight low temperatures will set all time records and cause agricultural damage. A bit later in the same program they showed someone predicting sea levels in Seattle will rise 3 ft by 2040.

If it bleeds it leads.

Weather. Climate. Not the same thing. Not a hard concept.

Perfect ! Your reply really has no relevance to what I posted. First of all I bet big money that the ex President is not going to tear that mansion down and build a new one, that is Fox and Glen Beck delusion. I said when the ultra wealthy start losing big money because of global warming action will follow. You are conflating your political preferences with logical thinking, something conservatives are thrown to do. No bueno.

Won't happen for one but look at my cruising grounds topography. 3 feet won't make any difference to 99% of the coastline but won't happen .

I really want to understand how they get 2" per year ( 50+mm) out of a top estimated now of 3mm per year?? Their models are way off as usual . But you get out what you put in .

Wrong the Robin's nest ( magnum pi ) residence has already been razed to prepare for the new compound.

Read the article and look it up. I provided the coordinates for a reason . Map it or Google earth .
