I live on the Florida east coat, I can't say I've seen even 0.0000001" difference in water levels....I have no idea where these predictions come from....

Last decades
High quality measurements of (near)-global sea level have been made since late 1992 by satellite altimeters, in particular, TOPEX/Poseidon (launched August, 1992), Jason-1 (launched December, 2001), Jason-2 (launched June, 2008) and Jason-3 (launched January 2016).

This data has shown a more-or-less steady increase in Global Mean Sea Level (GMSL) of around 3.2 ± 0.4 mm/year over that period. This is more than 50% larger than the average value over the 20th century. Whether or not this represents a further increase in the rate of sea level rise is not yet certain.

The two plots below show the GMSL measured from TOPEX/Poseidon, Jason-1 and Jason-2 and now Jason-3.

The Next 30 Years

Sea level along the U.S. coastline is projected to rise, on average, 10 - 12 inches (0.25 - 0.30 meters) in the next 30 years (2020 - 2050), which will be as much as the rise measured over the last 100 years (1920 - 2020). Sea level rise will vary regionally along U.S. coasts because of changes in both land and ocean height.

Breaking it Down:

Rise in the next three decades is anticipated to be, on average: 10 - 14 inches (0.25 - 0.35 meters) for the East coast; 14 - 18 inches (0.35 - 0.45 meters) for the Gulf coast; 4 - 8 inches (0.1 - 0.2 meters) for the West coast; 8 - 10 inches (0.2 - 0.25 meters) for the Caribbean; 6 - 8 inches (0.15 - 0.2 meters) for the Hawaiian Islands; and 8 - 10 inches (0.2 - 0.25 meters) for northern Alaska.

This report provides greater confidence in estimates of sea level rise out to 2050 than the previous 2017 report because of advances in sea level science, as captured in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s Sixth Assessment Report, and the use of multiple lines of evidence: both the trends in the amount of relative sea level rise already observed and the models of future sea level rise closely match one another in the next 30 years.

The sea level around Virginia Key, Florida, has risen by 8 inches since 1950. Its speed of rise has accelerated over the last ten years and it’s now rising by 1 inch every 3 years.

I know great lakes are different but not that long ago, there were dire warnings about them draining away...completely ignoring lake levels tend to follow a 30yr cycle and more recently, there have been record high water levels. (again with dire warnings attached)

If you look at the longer term graphs posted, it's pretty common to see a sharp spike followed by a gradual decrease. If the pattern holds and there is no reason to believe it won't, we should be approaching the peak. Of course, the scale is on the order of thousands of years, so unlikely any of us will live long enough to see if the pattern holds.

Don’t know from where you got that nonsense but the reality is it’s ridiculous. We used to bring our power boat up to the dock at the Seaquarium on Virginia Key often over the last 20 years and no such condition existed, exists now or ever did. Sea level there has been consistent throughout that period.

The last ice sheet pushed the land up to the south of the sheet, from the immense weight, then land that was pushed up is sinking to the pre-ice age level.

Sea Level (relative) started rising even faster after the process of taking water out of the water aquifer from wells became more common.

I do not doubt the earth's temperature is rising. I also do not doubt the water levels will rise.

WHY do I not doubt this? Because it's natural, and it's based on real science. I recall from archeology classes at university finding chiton fossils were found well over 25 feet above MSL today. (Students today study Lady Gaga.)

The problem with climate alarmists is they only take in a very narrow segment of data and use man-manipulated models to predict catastrophe.

Let's look at real scientific data from climate.gov, NOAA, and NASA over the past few million years...
