Weatherfax Question

Looking at my weather fax options and wondering what has worked well for others.

Have an ICOM M710 SSB and a Windows 10 laptop. Wondering which software is good, which is not so good. Ease of use for an old cuss who is more shipwright than computer programmer. I can also use a Kenwood TS450S as a receiver if I needed to. It's on board but I'm not a ham and wasn't really planning on keeping it.

Looking at a Gulf and Pacific crossing next year.

OpenCPN has a weatherfax plugin that can download from a SSB radio using the sound card input of a Windows laptop. It’s free. But it takes a bit of fiddling to tune the radio to the right frequency. Needs an audio cable from the SSB to the computer.

There are also dead simple solutions for an iPad as well. No programming or cables needed but still you have to fiddle a bit with tuning the SSB radio. It’s not hard though.
