Which weather model(s) for the US Pacific Coast?

I’ve been using HRRR 3k and ECMWF 8k, but would love to hear what folks prefer and why.

I'm pretty lazy, so I'm often content with the NOAA marine forecast.

If I want more I bounce between the models on Windy (NAM, GFS, and ECMWF) and look at the amount of consistency. I'll also take a peek at some synoptic charts, such as what you can find here: https://ocean.weather.gov/Pac_tab.php

I think the reason I don't use the NAM or HRR so much is they are short term models. When I'm particularly interested in the forecast I start watching a week or so in advance, which they don't cover, and in the short term I'm usually happy with the text forecast.

PS: My preferred method of search is to use Google and search for "site:cruisersforum.com blahblah".
