San Diego VS Oxnard

We are looking for anyone with experience keeping your boat in San Diego and Oxnard or even just Oxnard.

We were talking today about possibly moving our boat from San Diego. We really like the weather in San Diego, and it seems to be very easy on the Teak, The Sunbrella Covers, The SS and really most everything else... but, the San Diego marinas and boatyards are more restrictive on what DIY we can work on.

There are places in Oxnard that allow some of the work we would like to DIY. The Channel Islands are near. and we like the Oxnard area.

What are the Cons we may not have thought of for Oxnard... Oh, and we are aware of The Santa Anas/
