Leopard 45 Dinghy Davit System

Does anyone have any experience with replacing the awful davit system on the Leopard 45 (2002)? If possible we would like to put in a system that would allow access to the aft walkway without it being blocked by the dinghy while it's in the davits.

Search the LeopardCat Owners Group on Yahoo LeopardCat : Leopard Catamaran Owners Group and you'll find examples of davit mods. I simply made the davit arm stationary on my L42 by installing diagonal braces (photo on LOG), and am quite satisfied. Others moved the hinges to the aft edge of the swim platform before doing something similar.
