Post 1973 Albin Vega 27 #1639

Location: Panama, Pacific side
Price: $14,900

We sailed her around Panama`s pacific side in this past year, visiting fascinating places. She gave us a lot of great memories but it`s time for us to start a new chapter in our life

She is a higly capable sailboat that has already completed a documented circumnavigation and she is ready to conquer the seas again with ease. Enjoy the freedom of being off-grid, anchored amidst the beauty of nature, far from the hustle of busy marinas or enjoy the lower marina prices due to her small size, it is your choice Tarka's extended storage, fuel and water capacity enables you to stay out longer, fully enjoying your sailing experiences.

Boasting a length of 27 feet and a beam of 8.5 feet, the Albin Vega is not just spacious but also comfortable for extended trips as well. It features a fiberglass hull, spacious cabin and ample storage. The boat is powered by a Beta Marine BZ482 diesel engine, ensuring reliable power when needed.

Whether you're an experienced sailor or just starting out, Tarka is an excellent choice. The boat is easy to handle and responsive in a variety of conditions, ideal for solo sailing or crewed trips. Re: 1973 Albin Vega 27 #1639

This was my boat before handing it over to Andrew, and though I can't speak to anything he's done with the boat in the last 3 years, I will vouch for Tarka being a strong, simple, reliable, ready-to-go-anywhere vessel.

Sorry to see you parting with her Andrew, but I hope she served you well, and hope she cane make someone else's dreams come true.

Thank you for your kind words, Bryan. I have many fond memories of the time I spent on her. She truly is a reliable and capable vessel. I have taken good care of her during my time as her owner and I am confident she will continue to serve her next owner well. I appreciate your support and I am grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of Tarka's journey.

Hi Andrew—I sure like that little boat! Watched a couple of the videos as well. We lost our beloved Com-Pac in Dorian-related chaos and are looking for a boat we can love, as well as new cruising grounds.

If Tarka’s still available, can you send some more pictures? There doesn’t seem to be a dinghy in the deal. When was she last hauled for bottom work?

Re: 1973 Albin Vega 27 #1639

Sorry to hear that you lost your boat

Yes, Tarka is still available and she`s definitely the boat you can love. The more time you spend on her, the more she grows on you

There`s a dinghy in the deal that is stored folded on deck. It has a small pinhole that needs to be patched and water slowly finds it`s way in but it is still usable. We frequently use it for provisioning, however when anchoring close to shore we prefer using the kayak, which also comes with the boat. The engine (Mercury 5HP) for the dinghy is in good working condition.

Panama is very nice. Lots of islands to explore, beautiful jungles and diverse wildlife.

We did the bottom in 2022 with Sigma Ecofleet 530 which is a self-polishing antifouling paint for extreme and aggressive fouling conditions. During this time we also changed the cutless bearing. We usually clean the bottom with only a sponge (no need for scraping at all) once in every 3 weeks.

I`m sending some pictures in PM.
