1975 Bristol 27

Excellent condition, ready to go anywhere right now, Carl Alberg designed Bristol 27. Due to unforeseen health considerations I am forced to cancel my cruising plans. A previous owner had the decks and toe rail professionally replaced and the hull deck joint glassed over. The decks are rock solid. The toe rail is taller than the original. The chain plates were replaced with larger ones and the standing rigging was replaced. The outboard well was modified to allow the motor to be tilted out of the water when not in use and it can also turn port and starboard allowing excellent maneuverability in tight quarters. The motor, new in 2023 is a 6hp Tohatsu Sail Pro/high thrust prop with extra long (25in.) shaft. The 25in. shaft allows the prop to be at about the same level as the prop on an inboard motor. Canvas work. Over $10,000 worth of canvas work since 2022 including new dodger with UV cover for the zip out windows, bimini, connector and aft shade curtain (all new July 2024) weather cloths with line storage pockets, companion way roll up combination screen and door, recovered v-berth cushions, new hinged cockpit cushions, mainsail cover, roller furling UV cover, windlass cover, self tailing winch covers, forward hatch cover, hatch board storage bag, storage bag and rain cover for Pelagic autopilot (new 2023), deck awning and a winter full deck cover. Ground Tackle: Rocna #10, 22lb anchor. 75ft. 5/16 G4 high test chain marked every 25ft. attached to 195ft. 5/8 three strand nylon rode. Danforth anchor with chain and rode, 50lb. Luke three piece storm anchor with rode and chain. Lofrans manual windlass. Electrical; Two 100 watt Renogy solar panels with controller (new 2022). Two 105 amp AGM batteries (new 2022). Electric and manual bilge pumps, Icom vhf (2022), updated circuit breaker panels, two Hella fans, led lighting in main cabin, two depth sounders, one thru-hull transducer, one epoxied inside the boat (2023). Misc; The rudder stuffing box was repacked in August 2023. Two stantions were added in 2022 along with solid double gates, double life lines and netting, chrome deck dorade for chain locker, bulkhead mounted fuel/water filter, under sink water filter, composting head with deck vent and exhaust fan, gimballed pressure alcohol stove with silverware drawer (mounted in cabinet June 2024), self tailing sheet winches(new 2023) removable inner forestay added 2022, new fuel tanks 2023, icebox. There are three bronze seacocks, all functioning. Two for the cockpit drains and one for the sink, all are accessible. There is one thru-hull transducer. All other openings have been properly glassed over. The sails are in very good condition. A hank on genoa and small jib are included. The hull was painted with Petit Easypoxy in May 2024. Two coats of Petit Odyssey multi seaon bottom paint applied June 2024. Located in Rhode Island. Asking $12,000. Currently in the water on my mooring. I have two fiberglass dinghies that are available. A 7ft. dinghy with oars currently stored on deck where it fits nicely, and a 9ft. Sumner sailing dinghy complete with new rub rail, oars, rudder, lee boards, mast and sail. $400 for the 7 footer, $650. for the Sumner. I also have a 2022 3.5hp Tohatsu outboard with a 20in. shaft. I purchased this new with the long shaft in the event the 6hp. Tohatsu should
ever fail, I could swap in the 3.5hp. and continue on my way.
