Quote from reviews:
If you like traditional yachts, you’ll find the Bristol 40 appealing. The boat has the long overhangs,
lovely sheerline, low freeboard, narrow cabin trunk undistorted hull shape, and narrow beam we associate with the beautiful yachts of the past. If you didn’t know she was a Ted Hood design, you might mistake her for a boat by Olin Stephens, John Alden, or Phil Rhodes. The trade-off for these traditional good looks is a boat with a small interior compared to today’s 40- footers.

This is the boat my Vanguard wants to be when it grows up!😁

Might I ask what the ground tackle is for the boat and what voltage and size the batteries needing replacement are.

Gorgeous boat.

Re: 1978 Bristol 40 Cutter Rigged Yawl

love the photos and have seen same at sailboatlistings and yachtworld at a slightly different marina and listed with Don Wark of Pier one for 19900.00.
I have sent several enquiries to him and apart from saying boat is still for sale, nothing further, so if you the owner can you fill me on present condition, some of the photos are from 2015 when you bought her!
He talks of needing TLC, is it just bottom that needs painting, prop and batteries or would a survey reveal structural damage.
I am coming over to Florida from Seattle in a couple of weeks and would love to see her if still for sale.'
Any information appreciated, thanks Rei

Re: 1978 Bristol 40 Cutter Rigged Yawl

He WAS the broker, did nothing and let the boat sit and get covered in bird crap. Didn't have the marina correct nor the price. I had it given a light scrub and am looking for someone to do a better job. Email me at gordonottley@gmail.com

The Broker, whose listing expired, put this in so he wouldn't have to spend any money and picked the price without my consent.
