1979 Irwin 37 MK III project boat $5000

1979 Irwin 37 MK III Cutter $5000

I purchased the boat sight unseen. It is at Green Cove Springs Marina in the work area, but is scheduled to be moved to the long term storage area and new owner will have to make arrangements with marina. It had been on the hard for five years. When I went aboard I found 3 feet of water inside. Removed water and ran fans inside for the past year. Added exhaust fans in top. All cushions were not use-able and removed. Would recommend replacing all plywood in back 2/3 of boat. Mainsail was made a home by some squirrels chewing it up and the head sail is should be considered unusable. No Cutter sail found. There may be a spinnaker and spinnaker sock aboard. Will need new flooring.
Motor is out of boat, need a complete rebuild. Water got into two cylinders and seized rings to cylinder wall and pistons. Transmission also out of boat, needs rebuild, have rebuild kit and shifter frozen.
Hull needs to have one 6”round spot that needs some fiberglass glass work. There are several other small areas that need glassing. Where rudder meets hull there were stress cracks that need to be filled in and the front of the rudder need a fiberglass patch. Several smaller spots were repaired and in need of sanding. All anti-fouling paint should be removed. Being on the hard for 6 years has made the paint brittle.
New
Engine has new oil pump, injectors, fuel lines from high pressure pump to injectors, draw fuel pump, gasket kit, starter, alternator, fuel line Rebuilt high pressure fuel pump. Fuel tank was polished and drained. Have 30 gallons of treated diesel, new filler and vent hoses.
Forward and aft bilge pumps, switches and with new lines to through hull. All below the waterline through hull replaced along with new shutoff valves,. 5 one year old batteries (purchased new), cutlass bearing, stuffing box flex hose and flux, galley sink, complete engine temp gauge, podium electrical switch and fuse panel.
Untested: stove, fridge, radar, inverter, waste water tanks,
No tools, electrical cables or personal gear will be included in sale. Gear in hanging lockers will stay on boat.
Clear title. Cash only sale.

I have 2 cutter sails and a spinnaker. Also a canvas dodger and complete cockpit enclosure. will need plastic glass replaced. Have removed all of my gear so anything on boat will stay.
