A little backstory: RU is an absolute gem and I'm torn to be letting her go. The pilothouse, massive bow, and open decks are just stunning. Whenever I'm out, I always say that she is "weather agnostic" - and it's true. The pilothouse and her towering bow will make you feel invincible to the elements.

She has been on the Fraser river in freshwater for the last 15 years, since coming up from the Bahamas. I moved her to Tsehum harbour last year and prepped her for Alaska cruising, but now life has other plans for me. RU would be the perfect boat to fulfill your west coast cruising or bluewater dreams, and this perkins will take you anywhere you want to go.

If you're planning on going long and far, I would put in a diesel heater, propane hot water heater, and a couple more batteries. The standing rigging is in excellent shape, but the lines and halyards should be replaced before you cross the pacific. There's some rust here and there - it's a steel boat. But, she's been in freshwater for a while and it shows - there's no issues there. There is an engine-heated hot water plumbed in, but I unhooked it from the engine to simplify the cooling system. There are two starter batteries, but not quite enough capacity to run the inverter for long periods of time at anchor.
