1986 Westsail 39/FWM 39 in San Carlos,MX $79,000

This is not your Grandfather's Westsail!

This is a Westsail designed by Bob Perry, laid up to Westsail standards and finished at the finest yards in Taiwan. There were thought to be between 20 to 25 built and finished in Taiwan during the 80's. They don't come on the market often and are prized for their soft ride, fit and finish and build quality.

Designed to be a trade winds sailor she is stiff and dry boasting an almost 50% ballast to displacement ratio.

Odyssey boasts a custom hard dodger with new isinglass and canvas panels. There is also a custom, heavy duty SS solar arch and pushpit.

Currently in a slip in Marina San Carlos as she has just finished another season cruising the Sea of Cortez and the Baja Peninsular. She will be going on the hard for hurricane season after her systems have been gone through and any needed repairs made.

San Carlos is a great place to start the winter cruising season, head north to Puerto Penasco or west to Santa Rosalia and explore the Baja Peninsular and islands all the way down to Cabo San Lucas. From there continue south to the canal, go west to the Marquesas or Hawaii or turn north and head to Alaska and Washington. She knows the way having sailed down from there a few years ago.

More information is available through La Paz Cruisers Supply or Albert Klettke at Cortez Yacht Sales.
