2012 Lagoon 450 in New Caledonia

Hello all,

After 3 years of cruising the S. Pacific, it is time to sell our 2012 Lagoon 450. She has been an amazing boat. We've seen some beautiful places and met some great people. We are sure that she will make the next owner happy. We are currently finishing the cruising season in New Caledonia and we're planning to return her to New Zealand around the end of October, until she sells. She is ready to cruise...

As you can see below from the constant and recent upgrading, we were not planning on selling her. Unfortunately, some family situations changed and we will not be able to spend as much time cruising.

We are the original owners. She has never been chartered. We changed her original name because S. Pacific locals had a hard time pronouncing it.

You can see the listing with price here: 2012 Lagoon 450 Sail Boat For Sale - www.yachtworld.com

Pictures are here: [URL="https://www.dropbox.com/sh/2v0blsyv9fteyqa/AAC_lo2wLcSulUGT1E2riapGa?dl=0[/URL]

Price: USD$500,000
Location: New Caledonia and later in New Zealand

Email me if you have any questions. I will answer, when I have Internet.

No. The boat has not been imported into New Caledonia.

We're cruising the S. Pacific. This season we left New Zealand, went to Vanuatu and are now in New Caledonia. New Zealand is a great base to cruise the S. Pacific and avoid the cyclones.

I suspected as much, but your thread title did say New Cal. I think it would sell well in NC if your price did include importation. As you have likely noticed, Lagoons are pretty popular there. Seems like a long shot to get an offshore sale there... but ya never know!

And yeah, NZed is a nice place. We enjoyed the three seasons we spent there, and did the shuffle back and forth to the islands. Ended up in Oz for various reasons, but mainly that they are more welcoming to elders than NZ, at least that was the case in the early 90s when we were wondering where to go next.

Lovely scenery, good sailing and a sailor friendly culture... what's not to like!

Re: 2012 Lagoon 450 in New Caledonia

Jim,

We have really enjoyed New Zealand. It's a beautiful country with great people. Also, IMHO, the S. Pacific is the best cruising area on the world. We are now in New Caledonia and it's beautiful.

Our boat is as perfect as a cruising boat can be. The buyer can bring food and clothes and he can go cruising... It took me a year and continuous updates to bring the boat to this condition. Just look at the dates on the Upgrades list.

We must agree with you, for we arrived in this area in 1990, off on a RTW, and we never left! And agree on NC... it has become about our favourite tropical island destination. All the delights of a little French city, and if you sail N three hours you can be in a splendid anchorage all by yourself. Great place to cruise, and now that they have extended the Yank visa to 90 days, a hassle free visit is possible.

Good luck on the sale.
