26' Cat Ketch with Trailer

26 foot cat ketch with 6’3” standing headroom. 8'3" beam.

The design is by Graham Barnes of B&B Yachts. Built using foam core and epoxy fiberglass hull construction, and launched in 2015. The hull has broad chines and a 700 lb shoe keel, resulting in a boat that can carry her sail plan powerfully with minimum heeling. Design displacement is 3500 lbs.

Setup as a cruiser for a couple. There is a tall berth forward, an enclosed head, galley with a sink and 2 burner cooktop plus oven, and a simple nav station over the quarter berth. Ample storage and ventilation.

The two masts are free standing carbon fiber. Carbon fiber reinforced tabernacles make raising the lower the masts an easy task for one person.

Boat is easily driven by a sprit rig sail plan totaling 289 square feet. Control lines are accessed from the steering station. Sails by Meade Breese.

With the NACA foil centerboard and rudder fully extended the boat draws 5’6” delivering satisfying windward performance. With centerboard and rudder up the boat floats in 14 inches of water.

Systems include:
Garmin GPS with Chirp depth sounder
Autopilot
VHF
Battery charger
Bilge pump with switch
40 gallon water tank with gusher foot pumps at head sink and galley sink
2015 Yamaha 9.9 high thrust four stroke with power tilt and electric start.

Located in Kilmarnock, Virginia, USA
$14,000
