I assume you've already looked at the usual websites like Craigslist, Kijiji (the Canadian version of Craigslist), yachtworld.com, sailboatlistings.com, etc?
I've seen some Iroquois pop up occasionally on Kijiji.

Right. Saw those. The blue hull ad was put up Feb 2016 and the white one Oct 2013. Bummer that people don't update their ads. It would be very helpful if folks took down ads when they sell their boats or minimally, put SOLD on the ads.

Are you looking to do a complete re-fit? If so then you should find what you want. If not, you'll struggle to get any in that budget.

The Iroquois will be the most fun. The MKII model I believe had a shorter mast and so less prone to capsize. The Commanche 32 is a better cruiser than the Iroquios. I found one that needed a refit in the UK for just £16,000. It was later bought and then resold the same year for about £25,000 to an unsuspecting couple that spent a lot of time and money on it ultimately affecting their relationship. It was up for sale at around £35,000 last time I checked.

In terms of those needing a refit and overhaul, the Prout 37 might be available. The 34s were all events and are a lot more expensive (roughly $60-80k). I have seen some very cheap Prout Quest 31/33cs in the US over the past few years, so pays to keep an eye out.

The Iroquois in FL has been on craigslist for years at 35k, I believe recently reduced to 31k.

Not true at all, the Snowgoose 34/35 (same boat, different marketing) are essentially just shorter versions of the Prout 37s and often show up in the $18-30k range. They are rugged boats, more roomy than the Iroquois but slower, excellent safety record.

I have a 35, so I know original snowgoose was sometimes called the 34. There are no 34s left AFAIK, only 35s.

The last Snowgoose 34 I saw was the original one, very very different to the production 35s. It had a tramp and lockers inline by the forward windows more like the lagoon 380.

PROUT- Forget the others. For the budget you have, nothing else will be the equivalent in value for money. An early Snow Goose actually rounded the Cape Horn peninsula--

If you can't find a Prout--consider a Cloud Nine or Cloud 10 by Roger Simpson in fibre glass--not plywood.

And yes--I am prejudiced.
