Enormous difference in all respects between a 33 and a 44.

Helps if you say where you're looking to be based, Uk, Med, elsewhere...
No point buying in the UK if you want to be in the Med, the same for buying in the EU if your based in the UK... VAT penalties.

"Kind broker"???? Why would a broker be kind to YOU? He works for the SELLER:-)!

"Switched on surveyor"???? You are not suggesting that a surveyor should be less than truthful in his communications with your Insurance Underwriter, are you?

Are you going to "self-insure"???

Hm... "He who acts in haste repents at leisure" as MySaintedMother used to say afore she went to Fiddler's Green.

I see the usual critical assessment of your post has been done, what a bore to see
Try apollo duck , boatshed, yathing world , websites put in your search parameters and have a good scroll , westerly, moody will come up and are great boats easy to handle most seas, then you will see a lot of production boats , bavarias, beneteatu, etc decent enough if looked after,
33 ft to 44 ft is a large range if its just you 33 to 36 is a good size , for you and perhaps a friend or two , 39 to 44 gives potentially two heads, more cabin space and more comfortable berths for crew , but do not think everyone will come and sail with you , so size it for yourself and 36 is about the size point to stop at.
A good borkwr wants to sell a boat so although they work for the seller they will try and accommodate yourself, be honest and open with them , a surveyor works for you so should be impartial to the yard, boat owner, broker, sometimes the broker will recommend a number of surveyors your choice to take or not .
Good hunting,
Ask question ybw forums are good for a brittish perspective amdich less negative

Trip to Cornwall perhaps:

Something a bit more modern, but be careful of the VAT trap:

Re: 33 - 44' Live aboard cruiser

Hello we have a Bruce Roberts 45 - GRP, Nanni engine, VAT paid, RCD compliant and good inventory. A genuine blue water cruiser. She has a wheelhouse which makes her a comfortable live aboard in all weather. She has been on the Hard in Plymouth since our return from the Caribbean in 2019. We are presently preparing her to go on the market so haven't advertised yet She is well within your price range.. Please contact for further information and photos.
Both boat and us are in the UK not the Evia channel!

You can hire a buyer's broker. The seller pays all brokerage fees but he works for the buyer which is the same for real-estate brokers.

I have a 1998 shed. It is fully furnished - work bench, in need of refurbishment, close to water, new window, sliding door with locks (keep your ex out), and a few gardening tools to support your dietary requirements. In essence, move-in ready...
