40-47' Cat 2003- <$230k

Hi Cruisers !!

Been looking at retiring early and sailing the world for several years now, and finally feel like the time is right !

Looking for a cat for myself and wife, with enough room for kids and family to visit. So not fixed with an owners version, in fact 4+ birth would be ideal !!

So far we have been leaning towards the Lagoons, Leopards, and Fountaine Pajot's. Key item we both want is large amount of natural light in the cabins (large(r) windows )

Not in a rush to buy. Ideally we would like to be moved in this time next year.
As such happy to hold out for a good condition/deal then rush into something today. Im very (VERY) handy, however we are not looking for a project boat..
And not locked into buying within the USA (I'm European , though would prefer boats in the north/south American continents, or Caribbean region. (Have cash - will travel )

Its high time to get serious in the hunt

Feel free to chime in on this thread, or message me directly for more details!!

-Andrew

Re: 40-47' Cat 2003- <$230k

Hi Andrew,

If you are still on the hunt we have a 47' Leopard for $220,000, but it is a 2001 version.

We also have a 2004 38' Lagoon 380 for $199,000 based in the BVI which has all taxes paid.

In the Fountaine Pajot region, we have a 2005 44' Fountaine Pajot Cumberland for $299,000 which has been taken immaculate care of.

There is also a 2013 Fountaine Pajot Lipari 41 for $299,000, and this one is based in the USVI rather than the BVI, so currently no travel restrictions to get to it. This one has a long list of 2018 upgrades, she is US- flagged/documented, has a current survey, and is presently insured with a US-based carrier.

Let me know if you would like more information on any of these!

Right now focusing on Lagoon 440 or 450.

Can you really get a Lagoon 440 or 450 for under $230K? That seems low even for a beaten-up charter boat.

Seriously? A Lagoon 440 or 450 for less than $230K??

Good luck with THAT! I would love to see what condition it would be if you could find one.
