ESCONDIDA

Having owned ESCONDIDA for 14 years we've had plenty of time to lavish her with upgrades. ESCONDIDA has been setup for long term cruising, weekends, or seasonal use. Between the wind generator and solar the engine seldom needs to be run to keep the batteries charged, the water tank full and the beer cold. In her current state ESCONDIDA is fully prepared to continue cruising the US East coast, Bahamas or Caribbean with minimal fuss. The deck and hull were just painted in 2021, the bottom paint was new in 2021. This is a vessel that would cost someone thousands of extra dollars to replicate with a less well equipped hull. Sailing the ketch rig upwind allows for many options depending on wind and sea state, downwind with the spinnaker ESCONDIDA keeps pace with much larger vessels.
