Avance 36 for sail

RASTO is an Advance 36 prepared by Bill Evans for the OSTAR, hence the name. He could not get the Avance 36 within the 35 ft class, so he bought a Cayenne 42, the former BOC / John Hughes owned Joseph Young, chopped the first two feet off and used that yacht for the OSTAR instead.
I acquired the boat around 2000, recognizing that she was well sorted out and had a new Volvo engine. I have sensible upgraded the boat, she got a VariFold prop, a new Autohelm with gyro compass + wireless control and Furuno electronics. I added a Tinker dinghy, a combined dinghy and life-raft, the English take on self-reliance. (Look them up at the web, they are good.)
An Avance 36 is a Peter Norlin design and has a lot of 6 Metre influence. She is fast, well balanced with beautiful lines. Build in Finland to a high quality with a typical Scandinavian interior. It is a good live aboard with stainless steel stove and oven. Toilet with holding tank an Y-valve. Pilot berth and nav station, L shaped settee in the salon, V berth in forepeak.
I used her for fast single handed cruising in Maine and Canada, two months a year. When not in use she was shrink wrapped and stored on the hard, mast down.
Using a boat takes its toll, so I planned to bring her home to Europe for a refit and a relocation to the Gulf of Bothnia. Sweden. Covid-19 stuck, borders closed. I had the boat prepared for sea transport, but the transport company did a no-show. Transport prices have risen considerably since the beginning of Covid-19, the transport world is in turmoil.
I consider it a project boat, as a yacht designer I know the ropes: it is two months work if you know what to do. I suggest a Zoom or Skype meeting to explain all the details. My alternative is to organize a Ro-Ro transport to Bremerhaven, that cost real money. Selling makes sense, I’m looking for offers in the region of 10K. It is work, but for that price it is a steal.
Former US and Canadian registration available, can be reinstated.

In short: Fast, beautiful sailor. On the hard for 7-8 years. Mild project structural sound. $10,000.-
Location: Southwest Harbor ME USA. I live in the Netherlands, timezone GMT +2, but I have a local agent to show the boat.
