I am pretty sure its in the port aft saloon facing aft just forward of the steering pedestal. This is pretty common in cats. While there is no portal directly aft, if you can be bothered to move your eyes 5 degrees to the left you can look through the main saloon full height glass doors, or if you turn in any other direction you can see out any of the several large saloon windows, each of which probably has more area than all the portholes in a Cape Dory 30 added together. I'm not a huge fan of this particular boat, but there certainly isn't an issue of not being able to look outside easily while using the galley, so your comment is confusing?

Yup, the Manta is one of the few cats that has overhead cabinets. There's decent storage there. All boats are compromises....
