The Beneteau 49 is 'the best cruising boat ever'. Large cockpit and spacious interior allow for easy 'liveability' The sailing performance of this vessel is outstanding and it is of the first model of the era where the beam was carried all the way aft, giving it a long waterline and flat 'underbelly' which means that it performs better when sailing more upright. Hatches and portlights provide excellent ventilation and together with the eyebrow windows and fixed portlights in the hull side, they create a lot of light.

Why so cheep? I bought the boat in May of 2018 it was a one owner never chartered boat that was demasted during hurricane Irma on Tortola. The boat was in a finger slip and the rigging when it came down damaged the port deck and rubbed the port side and hull up. I had the port side glass work repaired in Tortola at Nanny Cay boat yard. I bought the Mast with rigging front the old owner who bought a 2010 Jeanneau Oceanis 50 from lake Michigan with a roller furling main and wanted a traditional sail. The boat has the origonal 2010 "fresh water mast and rigging" sails, geneowa and the spiniaker and roller furling main and geneoay that came with the rig.

The boat is in Watch Hill RI now and I'm planning on sailing it south Annapolis MD the week of 10/21
