Brent Swain 36 Pilothouse

2007 Brent Swain 36 Pilothouse
$68,000 or reasonable offer
Lopez Island, WA

DETAILS

Year: 2007
Make: Custom
Model: 36 Pilothouse
Class: Pilothouse masthead sloop
Length: 36'
Fuel Type: Diesel
Location: Lopez Island, WA
Hull Design: Twin Keel Monohull
Hull Material: Steel

DESCRIPTION

This is the ultimate escape pod. MOM is one tough boat. Designed, built and maintained as a work boat, she is no sissy. Every detail of her is built with cruising in mind. No varnishing or “bright work.” Every aspect of MOM is built so that you can fix her yourself. The hand rails around the spacious deck are waist high for maximum safety. She has an outside tiller and inside steering that will not break. MOM's manual windless will not leave you stranded. If you want trouble free boating, this is your boat.

Over 6 foot high headroom. Galley down, Dinette up. 360 degree view from the Pilot House. We sail/ drive her more from the inside than the outside. We always feel for those sailboats who live in a cave [no pilot house] and have to steer their boat outside in the pouring rain.

The Origami type building method is frame less and stronger. MOM is professionally built by Evan Shaler. He is one of the best builders of this design. MOM is his 35th hull.
Made of abraded and primed steel, the hull thickness is 3/16" and decks 1/8".

Yikes! Selling MOM!?

Does this mean we'll not hear you/see you out there this year (or next year, depending on COVID-19)?

Hope all is well! Good luck with sale.

MOM looks like one heck of a boat.

Congratulations on the sale!
