Bristol 40 Yawl

I'm listing my 1977 Bristol 40 Yawl for sale.

Beautiful classic lines with a dark blue hull. Currently located in a freshwater marina in Madisonville, Louisiana.

Custom bowsprit.

Bottom Job in August 2016.

New GPS and wind/speed/depth instruments in 2016.

Powered by a Westerbeke 40.

Exterior teak work done in November 2016.

Asking $43,000.

All offers considered and many thanks for spreading the word.

Yowza, gorgeous boat and looks like a great value for the asking price. You don't see yawls like that anymore, sadly.

Gorgeous indeed.

Ruddy, there's a community of Bristol fanatics who know the quality and love the build on and around Shelter Island. So you might also list this on Craigslist hamptons area. See if you get any bites.

Re: Bristol 40 Yawl

I'd add an hull profile shot to your pics to catch the eye of all the suckers for that hull shape... (Myself included in that camp)

Looks like a great boat, great price.

Thanks for all of the advice and kind words.

I'm a sucker for the classic lines as well.

Re: Bristol 40 Yawl

I feel like this is one of those boats where the two happiest days for the owner is the day they buy it and the day they sell it. Absolutely beautiful boat, but it's got to be a fair bit of work keeping her looking that nice.

Because of some trim? That's nothing, and in my experience an annual scuff+coat is the only truly enjoyable boat work there is.
