Want To Buy: Buyers Broker

Good morning. I am looking at purchasing a newer 40 foot Catamaran. I have found that some are listed with brokers and I will want my own Buyers Broker to look after my interests. I am looking to purchase in the Caribbean and I am Canadian. I would hope to get a referral from someone to a Broker that has worked with other Canadians. Most brokers I have communicated with didn’t appear to have much knowledge or experience with Canadians. Should the broker be based in the Caribbean? I hope to buy in either, Martinique, St Martin, or Grenada. I think it would be better if the broker was on sight.

I could recommend Michael Dye with BoatShed Grenada. He just sold my boat for me. Good to work with, knowledgeable and located in Grenada.

I think working with a broker who can see the boats in the location you're looking at is a good idea.
