C&C 30 MK1 (Nova Scotia)

The 1973 MK 1 needs no introduction. Often considered Canada's most successful design, its interior layout finds a balance between racing and cruising, able to sleep a family of five and yet very stiff in heavy air, so it's safe off-shore.

A beautiful and well-maintained classic boat, Siren Song has comfortably explored most of eastern Canada, she's handled very strong breeze between Louisbourg and Newfoundland without any issues and has been a trusted member of the family for 15 years. The Westerbeke diesel engine (15hp Four60) was rebuilt in 2016 and serviced regularly. Rigging is minimal, uncomplicated. The Mark 1 was built exceptionally strong, without a balsa core. Included is an excellent steel cradle (refit 2018), a new dodger (2022), furler, the sails are all in good shape; the hull received a new barrier coat in 2021 and was bottom-painted with micronCSC. Also included are the instruments, two 14V marine batteries, an inflatable dinghy, new compass, two anchors, barbecue, safety equipment, canvas and so on--please message me for details. The boat is ready to go sailing.

I am both reluctant and motivated to sell this great boat--She's listed in Nova Scotia for $22 000 CAD. I'm open to any serious offer.

Canadian Yachting.ca :
“With over 800 built, the C&C 30 Mk1 is, arguably, one of Canada's most successful racer/cruisers. Production began in 1973 and ceased in 1985 -- a 12-year period that represents the longest production run of any single design version in the history of C&C Yachts. The 30 didn't need any changes, it held its appeal. This makes it `The Classic'. The 30 is generally described as an all round, user-friendly boat, forgiving, comfortable and easy to handle, with a reputation as one of the stiffest C&C ever built. Given these qualities, the 30 is the consummate cruiser."
