Cheaper Cruising Mono in NZ (30-40'?)

I'm looking for a first boat on a fairly tight budget (around 30k?). Hoping to find something which can point okay and hold my freediving gear for a few weeks away. I'll probably be handling the sailing solo, even if I've got 1-2 passengers. Autopilot & solar would be very handy. I've only got a smaller mooring space & haven't seen something bigger than 35ft on the mooring, though I bet it's rated for more. Designs I've looked at:
  • Ross 930 was childhood boat and I remember it being fun to sail
  • Stewart 34 looks like a good layout if low headroom. I like the open transom design
  • Senior Reacher 34 looks good but I've never seen one before
  • H28 seems to crop up a lot - what are they like?

Anyone on here know of a bargain boat milling around? Or have any anecdotal first boat stories to share? What's the keeler equivalent of your nan's Corolla?

I dont know the Senior reacher but a respected designer. H28 not a good pointer but well respected old school design, substantially slower than other options. Shallower draft than Ross or Stewart for getting into dive spots though. 30k should buy you a good boat in todays market.

Good luck
