Columbia 28 $6,000

Columbia 28 hull 364 with trailer and hard dinghy for sale. The boat is located near Morgantown, WV about 3.5 hrs from Baltimore or Cleveland and I can possibly deliver the boat to your home for the price of gas and tolls if you are not too far away. Built in 1969 when the hulls were laid with solid fiberglass. She has been kept in freshwater in Lake Tahoe for many years. This boat has been refit and beefed up over the years with many upgrades such as a raised companionway, and a modern foredeck hatch. Headroom is 6 foot and this is one of the largest boats that can be legally trailered on the road. Keel bolts are solid. Chain plates and bulkheads are also solid and do not leak. The wood compression post in the bilge has been replaced with an oversize aluminum post. Wire rigging was replaced over the years and is in exceptional shape. There are multiple fenders and dock lines on board. Sails are newer, in fantastic condition and still crispy.
2 main sails
170% .75 Oz (very lightweight) drifter
170% 3.8 Oz Genoa
150% Genoa
100% heavy air jib
¾ Oz spinnaker with launching bag
The boat comes with a Raymarine ST1000 autohelm tiller pilot and a spinnaker pole with deck mounted chocks for secure storage. 4 oversize stainless cockpit deck winches. There is a double bow bimini shade mounted over the cockpit. There is also an upgraded boomkicker vang to hold up the boom. There are custom fit sunbrella cockpit cushions. VHF and brand new shakespere antenna. A bow anchor roller was added.
She comes equipped with a clean and sanitized working porta-potty. The space available will fit perfectly a natures head composting toilet and it was dry fit already to make sure it fits. Included in the sale is a west marine watertender 9.4 dinghy with aluminum oars. This alone sells for $700.
The galley has a flush mount Origo alcohol stove which are no longer made and are in high demand for their simplicity and safety. Custom fit cutting board top.
The boat has a brand new $150 Maxx Everstart battery with 875 cranking amps. It has a 3 year replacement warranty and the serial number is registered at Walmart if needed.
This boat has a brand new never slept on Gel Memory Foam 12-Inch Mattress installed in the main cabin. This bed can be converted back into a raised dining table if you so desire.
This boat comes with a triple axle steel trailer built by Morgan Morris in Yuma AZ. The boat is launchable from this trailer and I have personally pulled her out of Lake Tahoe with this trailer. It is solid beyond belief and has 6 new radial Premium FREE COUNTRY Trailer Tires ST225/75R15. These tires cost over $600 to buy and mount. I recently drove this trailer over 2000 miles from Lake Tahoe to the east coast with a Toyota Tundra and had zero problems or issues. The trailer rides like a dream and has racks to carry the mast safely. Also included is a custom built stainless steel ladder which has mounts to carry it on the trailer.
The bottom was just sanded and painted with a quality ablative bottom paint.
The atomic 4 inboard engine is running and just had a new raycor fuel filter installed and has fresh ethanol free gas in the tank. The oil was just changed and there is spare oil and filters on onboard. It has been upgraded with the indigo electronic ignition. Stuffing box has been redone with new hose and clamps. https://goodoldboat.com/atomic-4/
