Endeavour 40 Newly Refit including New Beta Engine!

Now for sale our newly refit 1984 Endeavour 40!!!! Currently cruising the Bahamas. $99000

This is the perfect Bahamas and Caribbean cruiser with a 5 foot draft, efficient owners version rig, and extra large hatches for superb ventilation.

Why we love this boat:

The Endeavour 40 features the space and livability of a 50 foot boat in a 40 foot footprint. The dual master setup with en-suite heads provide separate living quarters for owners and guests. The heads are huge and feature excellent storage and space to shower.

The aft master features a full queen size bed, hanging locker and tons of shelf storage. The forward master V is king size and has a jack and Jill door to the head allowing full guest privacy.

In the salon, the dual facing couches double as sea berths and allow comfortable seating for 6. The dual leaf table is both functional and easy to stow after meal time. In addition, a proper forward facing nav station provides an excellent work space.

As a center cockpit boat, the Endeavour 40 has a massive engine room and adjacent workshop area that is great for tools.

On deck, the center cockpit provides seating for 6 and the full enclosure provides all weather protection. We love the wide, safe walk around side decks with high toe rails and stanchions. In a seaway it's easy to get around the boat safely.

The dinghy davits and Maxwell windlass make anchoring and exploring easy.

This boat is the real deal and is currently cruising the Bahamas. She is comfortable, solid and fast. She sails consistently at 7 knots in 15 knots of breeze and motors at 7.5 knots @ 2000 rpm.

They just don't make them like this anymore.....

If you want to GO NOW this is the boat for you. We will deliver her anywhere on the East or Gulf Coast as part of the deal.

Downwind Dogs 2 has just completed a major "prop up" refit including:

Propulsion:

1. Brand New Beta 50 with dual 175 amp Balmar alternators.

2. Remachined 3 blade high efficiency prop and remachined shaft

3. New Cutlass Bearing

4. New Las Drop Gen 3 dripless shaft seal.

5. New Raw Water intake and hoses

6. New Vetus high efficiency wet exhaust

7. Dual Racor primary fuel filters

8. Recent 45 gallon fuel tank (2017)

Plumbing

9. 2 recent fresh water tanks (100 and 50 gallons) in 2017

10. New 11 gallon hot water heater with heat exchanger.

11. All new Pex plumbing throughout boat.

12. New Freshwater pump

13. New bilge pump plus 2 reserve bilge pumps and manual Whale pump in cockpit.

Electrical

14. Completely new wiring throughout featuring 10 gauge marine tinned copper.

15. New LED lighting throughout the boat

16. New dual 30 AMP ELCI shore power breaker with 60 amp automatic galvanic isolator.

17. Automotive blade style fusing in DC system enabling easy expansion and fuse replacement.

Electrical Inverters and Monitoring

18. DUAL 3000W Victron Inverter Chargers wired in parallel to provide over 70 amps inverted AC power at 120V. Why? So you can run AC on the hook from the massive battery bank.

19. Victron DC to DC charger for starter battery

20. Victron BMV 712 Bluetooth battery monitor.

21 Victron Cerbo "wireless boat" with touchscreen provides digital monitoring of all systems and tanks. Can be configured for remote boat monitoring.

Batteries:

22. 900AH (6@450AH 4V wired in series/parallel) Firefly Carbon Foam AGM batteries. These batteries enable us to run AC on the hook and meet our extensive power needs (we work from the boat) with minimal recharge time.

Under motor at 2000RPM batteries will charge from 70 percent depleted to 100 percent charge in approx 90 minutes.

On generator with one 100 AMP charger it takes about 2.5 hours. On generator with both 100 amp chargers it takes about an hour.

23. 12v 100 AH backup/starter battery. We typically start the motor off the house bank however since we have so much available power.

Electronics:

24. New Garmin GPS Map 742 Bluetooth plotter

25. Raymarine ST 6001 autopilot with S3 computer.

26. Bonus: Garmin watch enables digital monitoring and autopilot control from your wrist!

27. New: Airmar NMEA 2000 triducer (Depth, Speed, Temp) on the plotter and watch.

28. WeBoost cellular data booster enables LTE service from all remote towers.

Other Comfort Items.

29: Dual heads with New Heavy duty Raritan pump assemblies. Simple and bulletproof. Heads plumbed USCG compliant with overboard and Y valve to tanks with pump out.

30. Dual reverse cycle AC units with heat pump (12000 and 16000 BTU).

31. Large AC/DC portable chest freezer.

32. 3 Burner stainless stove and oven

33. Microwave.

Deck:

34. Aft Davits with available solar panel mounts.

35. Maxwell Windlass with 125 feet of 5/16th Acco US chain paired with a massive 65 lb Mantus primary anchor on a mantus swivel.

36. 45 lb Delta secondary anchor on 10 feet of chain and 100 feet of 1/2 inch braided rode.

37. Older 9ft AB dinghy with brand new Yamaha 2 stroke 4hp outboard purchased in the Bahamas.

Sailing:

38: Newly restitched and serviced main from Mack Sails in Stuart, Fl. Newer 130 Genoa from Bacon Sails in Annapolis.

39. Professional Rig inspection just completed by Mack indicated no corrosion or need to service/replace rigging.

40. All new running rigging including: New main halyard, new spare halyard, new Genoa furling line, new genoa and main sheets.

41. Doyle stack pack and lazy jacks.

Some other info:

This was a fresh water boat. She spent her 40 years in the northern end of the Chesapeake Bay will no saltwater corrosion. She is pristine and rust free.

The bottom was recently repainted with tropical weight ablative after a new epoxy barrier coat was installed.

Re: Endeavour 40 Newly Refit including New Beta Engine!

Hi there,
The ad reads nice, but without having more properly oriented pictures that show the overall condition and important areas/features, it's hard to see the value.

Re: Endeavour 40 Newly Refit including New Beta Engine!

She's a beautiful boat, AZ Parothead.

Wish I were in a position to go forward, but I'm sure she'll be a lovely new boat for the right person. Hope you find her new owner soon!
