Re: Lagoon 420, 440 or 450

If you want a great sailing live aboard you might be interest in my Dolphin 460. I bought her new in 2007 in Brazil and sailed her to the Med. We just finished our 13th year cruising the Med. Finalmente is fully load for living aboard missing only a dishwasher. She is not only a very comfortable yacht, she also is a great sailing cat. There are very few cats or monohulls that can go to weather better that my Dolphin. She is currently out of the water in Marina di Ragusa Sicily having all new Raymarine electronics installed plus her annual bottom paint and miscellaneous work completed. If you can afford $475,000 for a well cared cat maintained by a true Vergo, email me at finalement460@gmail.com. There are some pictures post at my Cruiser Forum page.

It's weird situation - currently boats listed by broker often WAY more realistically priced than boats "listed for sale by owner" on different web sites including this one.
For example, there are few Lagoon 450 on YW right now listed UNDER $400K (below is one example). All private sellers I've seen are asking much more (sometimes - hundreds of k$ more) for same model.

Not sure why that would be this way (as sellers on YW have to pay commission as well), but you might be better off checking YW.

Re: Lagoon 420, 440 or 450

At this point, we are just looking for a boat that fits our needs !! and is priced reasonably we understand the market is strong and we are willing to pay market price for the right boat.

We have been looking on YachtWorld with no luck to date.
We cannot seem to find any available 3 cabin 40ft or 44ft boats that are available. If we find one on YachtWorld that says it's available we then call about it and the Brokers says it's under contract. So I do not think that YW is up to date on its listings.

So we have taken it upon ourselves to start posting on forums to see if we can dig anything up ourselves.

We have sold our big house and are now living in a tiny house and we are primed and ready to get out of here on a boat!!

Thank you for the response about your Dolphin 460 For Sale it looks like a Very Nice Boat! I love the dagger boards!

My wife and I had a chance to look at some of the pictures and the layout but I think at this time this is not the boat for us.

Again Thank You Very Much for the opportunity to purchase her!

Re: Lagoon 420, 440 or 450

My Dolphin 460 is not listed anywhere. If you want a cat far nicer in all ways than a Lagoon, you owe it to yourself to look at a Dolphin. If you wish to consider my Dolphin just email me at finalmente460@gmail.com and I will send you three large WORD docs that details my boat including pictures. FYI; she is currently out of the water for annual maintenance in Marina di Ragusa, Sicily. In addition, I am having all new Raymarine electronics installed at a cost of 17,000+ euros; the best of the best.

Re: Lagoon 420, 440 or 450

Mike, sorry I missed your reply. Just for your information I have my Dolphin set up for me to sail her by myself. She is fast and very comfortable. And, for the buyer I will spend the necessary time to teach them everything they need to know to be a safe cruiser. I have been sailing this boat for 12 years and I have been sailing for over 60 years. I am also offering something unique; for the price for $10,000 I am offering a buyer to sail with me and my wife in Greece this summer for seven days. If you decide to purchase my Dolphin the money goes against the pre-agreed purchase price. I want to find a buyer that will love my boat as much as we do. Good luck in your search.
